PVM-1E & PVM-1BT, Precision Vacuum Monitor with Single Sensor (Economy and Bluetooth)


PVM-1BT Precision Vacuum Monitor

The PVM-1 is a rugged vacuum gauge that allows users to measure the vacuum pressure within their system by utilizing a single thermocouple gauge for effective pressure measurement.

The PVM-1 is well-suited for systems where a single vacuum reading is needed. This would include small vacuum ovens or distillation systems or any other vacuum apparatus that requires a single point of measurement. It is also easily portable and includes a protective outer case, kickstand, and magnet for securing it around your workspace. The PVM-1BT version includes Bluetooth communication which gives data-logging capabilities. The PVM-1E does not include Bluetooth communication and is an economy model designed for simple use. Both gauges include on-board diagnostics to identify potential leaks and vacuum stability.

PVM-2, Precision Vacuum Monitor with Dual Sensors


Dual Vacuum Monitor

The PVM-2 is a real-time vacuum monitoring system that allows the user to measure vacuum from two (2) separate points in the system.

The PVM-2 utilizes dual thermocouple sensors to effectively measure the vacuum levels at multiple points, giving the user a more complete picture of vacuum pressures and fluctuations closer too, or farther away, from the reaction area. This can be extremely helpful when used with systems such as short path distillation units. For this reason, the PVM-2 is also the standard vacuum monitor included with all of our short path kits. This gives the user the ability to effectively measure the vacuum pressure closer to the reaction area (system pressure) while also measuring the vacuum directly at the vacuum pump (pump or ultimate pressure).

This difference in pressure, as well as the fluctuations during operation, can be data-logged and reviewed to better understand distillation compounds and parameters as well as vacuum pump health and overall efficiency during runs. The PVM-2 also includes on-board diagnostics to effectively identify potential leaks and vacuum stability.

PVM-3, Precision Vacuum Monitor with Triple Sensors


PVM-3 Precision Vacuum Monitor

The PVM-3 is a real-time vacuum monitoring system that allows the user to measure vacuum from three (3) different points in the system.

The PVM-3 includes three labeled, and calibrated KF25 sensors that correspond to specific inputs on the monitor itself. The monitor includes a bright LED screen for easy readout. The PVM-3 can be used with a variety of vacuum applications and is especially useful for distillation systems such as thin/wiped film evaporators that have multiple stages or multiple pumps. The PVM-3 can be used to measure the system pressure closest to the reaction area while also measuring the ultimate pressure directly at the vacuum pump.

If two pumps are being used, such as a dry pump for volatiles, and a rotary vane pump for heavy compound distillation, the PVM-3 can measure readings from both pumps without having to switch sensors between the pumps during different passes. The PVM-3 is our most capable vacuum monitoring system and includes a variety of measuring units, as well as a side-mounted rod support for easy addition to any system.

PAR-C, Dual Sensors with KF25 or KF40 Isolation Valve Connections


PAR-C Vacuum Controller

The PAR-C is a powerful, wide-range vacuum monitor and controller that can measure two (2) points of vacuum within the system as well as an automatic isolation valve for controlling vacuum within set parameters.

One of the two sensors of the PAR-C is a compound pressure sensor. This sensor utilizes two (2) different types of sensors, specifically a 775i and 536, which read pressure more accurately in different ranges.  These two sensors are mounted to a custom KF25 fitting, delivering both sensors with a reading from the same system point.  From here, the PAR-C display unit blends these two (2) readings together via proprietary software to deliver an accurate pressure reading in the range of 0.02 to 775 Torr.  This compound sensor controls the automatic valve function, giving users the ability to control vacuum between high vacuum and atmosphere, with accuracy. The PAR-C allows users to precisely control vacuum in the full range of 0.02 to 775 Torr by setting an upper-pressure limit and a lower pressure limit on the gauge. 

The PAR-C is extremely useful for thin-film distillation as it allows the user to target specific compounds and boiling points. By manipulating the upper and lower pressure limits, in conjunction with evaporator temperature, users can effectively strip light volatile compounds as well as target medium and heavy boiling point compounds. The gauge and isolation valve combination allows for full regulation of vacuum pressure when distilling thermally sensitive compounds, giving a cleaner and more efficient distillation, as well as giving the user complete control over the entire range of vacuum.

Pressure Control Monitor

The Pressure Control Monitor is an in-line vacuum controller designed to regulate vacuum between 1 and 775 Torr.

The Pressure Control Monitor gives the user direct control for regulating vacuum pull within your system. It includes simple hose barb connections and a large LED screen with intuitive controls. The Pressure Control Monitor helps reduce stress on your vacuum pump and is especially useful for rotary evaporators. The Pressure Control Monitor helps target specific boiling points when evaporating and recovering volatile solvents. By pinpointing the exact boiling point, the rotary evaporator operates more efficiently and safely while allowing for repeatability between runs. Solvents can be gently recovered without excessive vapor being generated by deeper vacuum levels.
