These rotary vane vacuum pumps use Direct Torr Premium Pump Oil to make an air-tight seal.
The CRVpro Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump by Welch is an economical starting point for labs looking to reach a deep vacuum level while maintaining varying displacement capacities.
These rotary vane vacuum pumps use Direct Torr Premium Pump Oil to make an air-tight seal, which allows the oil to cool the moving parts. The CRVpro series is competitively priced, but keep in mind that these pumps will require regular maintenance to keep the vacuum pump in proper working order.

Larger capacity, 10° cooler.
These pumps run about 10°C cooler and have a 40% larger oil capacity than comparable pumps from competitors. The cooler operating temperature means less corrosion for the user. Enhanced reliability and less frequent maintenance are all exciting benefits of the Welch CRVpro, and this is why we are happy to recommend it to our customers.
Chemical resistant.
The internals of the CRVpro are also coated with a chemical-resistant compound which protects non-moving parts. This is another important, cost-saving benefit for you down the road.
Suited to a variety of tasks.
Some of the applications for which this pump is recommended are: degassing, vacuum ovens (such as those from Cascade, Across International, and others), concentrators and freeze drying.*
In addition, rotary vane vacuum pumps work well for: solvent removal, high boiling point compounds, vacuum ovens and aqueous vapors.
We wholeheartedly recommend these pumps for our 2L, 5L and 12L short path kits, but be sure to select the correct model for each system.
A smart rotary vane vacuum pump choice.
The vapors created inside the system (depending on the sample) can damage the pump unless you use a cold trap or vacuum trap to eliminate as much damage-causing vapor as possible from entering your system.
You may also want to have a filter for the pump, to prevent any oil or gasses from leaking out into your lab.
